Exam solution

Exam 1

  • Solution. Statistics: possible=100, mean = 76, stdev=17, plot of histogram by problem and by total.

Exam 2

  • Solution. Statistics: possible=100, mean = 66, stdev=22, plot of histogram by problem and by total.

Exam Prep

Exam 2

  • Chapter 3
    • Be able to calculate the Fourier series coefficients of a period CT signal (DT Fourier series will NOT be on the exam). (3.28a(subparts abc), 3.22, 3.31, 3.28d, 3.47)
    • Given the FS coefficients of the input and the frequency response of a system, find the FS coefficients of the output signal. (3.13, 3.14, Quiz 3)
    • Sample problem, solution. There is a 1/2 factor missing in part c. Please assume that h2(t) = h1(t) *2*cos(pi*t) for this part.
  • Chapter 4
    • Compute the CTFT (or its inverse) of a signal/system (4.1, 4.3, 4.4, 4.8, 4.10, 4.21, 4.23)
    • Solve for the output of a system in the frequency domain (4.19, 4.32, 4.30a)
