In Lecture 7, we discussed some properties of independent events and talked about Bernoulli trials. There was also a quiz in which the probability of a combination of events and complement of events was computed, under an independence assumption. The key to getting full credit on the quiz was to justify every step, including the fact that "A indpendent of B" implies "A independent of B-complement".

There was no lecture this past Monday because of MLK day.

In Lecture 7, we discussed some properties of independent events and talked about Bernoulli trials. There was also a quiz in which the probability of a combination of events and complement of events was computed, under an independence assumption. The key to getting full credit on the quiz was to justify every step, including the fact that "A indpendent of B" implies "A independent of B-complement".
