About Rhea Liaisons

Liaisons provide links between Rhea and the "real world". Liaisons are displayed in boxes on the right hand side of rhea pages. By clicking on the picture in a liaison box, one gets to a web page containing the information pertaining to that particular liaison. There are different types of liaisons.

  • Alumni Liaisons are for Purdue alumni to share messages with Purdue students. For example, an alumnus who found a particular class helpful in his career could use a liaison to share this fact with the students currently taking that class. See an example here.
  • Technology Liaisons are for connecting technology to the material discussed on Rhea.
  • Industry Liaisons are for connecting industry to certain groups of students using Rhea. For example, a company organizing a presentation on campus for engineering students could use a liaison box to advertise this event to a specific class.
  • Employment Liaisons are for companies seeking job applicants with a certain expertise. These liaisons allow them to post a targeted message containing an employment offer relevant to students taking a specific class on campus.

If you have some specific liaisons that you would like to display on your page, please let us know. Otherwise, we may simply choose some at random from a subject appropriate list, or leave them blank.

People/industry interested in being displayed on the liaison boxes should contact kiwi@ecn.purdue dot edu. Note that Rhea is an educational website and that liaisons cannot be used to display ads of a mere commercial nature.
