Today we spent a good amount or time discussing Homework 9. We then talked about spectrograms of speech signals and the short-time Fourier transform. We discussed the difference between using a large window and a small window function to make the signal finite duration, and we stated the "Uncertainty Principle" for spectrograms.

Action items

  • Begin working on HW9. It is due Friday.
