Question about Problem #1: Mark Allen told me that Garofalo proved this under the weaker assumption <math>g_n \rightarrow g</math> in <math>L^1</math>, but not necessarily pointwise.  I'd be interested to see if anyone has seen the proof for this.  Thanks, Pete
