There are two main ways of creating a new page.

  • You can create a new page by making a link to the new page you want to create on an existing page. For example, you can create a page titled homework 2 (XYZ123Spring2009) by creating a link to homework 2 (XYZ123Spring 2009) within the XYZ 123 Spring 2009 course page, and subsequently clicking on the link. When the page does not exists, the link is displayed in red. Once you edit the page you newly created, the link will become blue. To add a link to homework 2 (XYZ123Spring 2009), use the syntaxe [[homework 2 (XYZ123Spring 2009)]]. To edit this page, simply click on the link after saving the page.
  • You can also create a new page that is not linked to any other page. (This is called an orphan page.) To do this, type the name of the page you would like to create in the search box and press go. If a page with this name does not already exists, you will then be offered the possibility to create this page.
