Homework 2, ECE302, Spring 2013, Prof. Boutin

Due Monday January 28, 2013 (in class)

As for homework 1, this homework consists in handing in the problems that you were asked to solve after each lecture. For convenience, the problems included are listed (again) below. Hand in a hard copy of your solutions in class. Make sure to include a cover page and to staple all the pages together. Write legibly and clearly. Put the problems in order. Do not write on the back of the pages. Do not use paper torn out of a spiral book. Thank you very much.

  • Problem 2.62 from the textbook: Probability, Statistics, and Random Processes for Electrical Engineering, 3rd Edition, by Alberto Leon-Garcia, Pearson Education, Inc., 2008.
  • Problems 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 24, 25 30, 31, 32, 33 34 from Chapter 1 of "Introduction to Probability," by Dimitri P. Bertsekas and John N. Tsitsiklis. Athena Scientific, Belmont, Massachusetts, 2008.
