# Lecture 16 Blog, ECE438 Fall 2011, Prof. Boutin

Wednesday September 28, 2011 (Week 6) - See Course Outline.

Today we discussed how the DTFT of a signal compares to the DFT of a truncated version of that signal (repeated periodically with period equal to the duration of the signal). In particular, we pointed out the "ripples" created by the truncation of the signal.

## Relevant Rhea pages

## Action items

- Begin working on the fourth homework
- Everybody should add at least one formula/property to our DFT table.
- Keep working on the three new practice problems (and share your answers)
