Problem: Determine the voltage drop across R_3 in the circuit provided.

Answer: First, determine via the voltage division formula the voltage drop across R_2.

V_2 = 20/120*20 = 1/3 V

Then, determine the current output by the VCCS by taking I_3 = V_2*9 = 3 A. Lastly, determine the voltage drop across R_3 via Ohm's Law: V_3 = I_3*R_3 = 3*5 = 15 V.
