Periodic and non-periodic DT signals

The above image illustrates a periodic CT triangle signal with a frequency of one radian per second.

If this was mapped to a DT signal it would be periodic and look like:

The above is not periodic but if we change the frequency of the original signal to .785 radians/sec we can obtain a periodic DT signal.
