I'm alittle confused with the previous responses. In part A we found the distribution(PMF) of W not the E[W]. I don't believe that PMF and Expected value are the same(although I am not entirely sure at this point).
Furthermore, in part B we need to find the distribution(PMF) of C, not E[C].
