Haiyun's favorite theorem_MA375Fall2008walther

My favorite theorem is the Bolzano-Weierstrass theorem because it reduces the problem of proving a set is compact to a simple problem of proving the set is closed and bounded. The theorem states: A subset A of $ R^n $ is compact if and only if it is closed and bounded.
