I'm going to take this one before anyone else does. Fermat's Last Theorem is my favorite because it is simple to state and incredibly difficult to prove. For those who don't know, it states that for non-zero integers a, b, c, and n (such that n > 2), there is no solution to $ a^n+b^n=c^n $. Stated by Pierre de Fermat in 1637, it was finally proven in 1994 by Andrew Wiles and Richard Taylor.--Mkorb 22:01, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
