Alumni Liaison Sean Hu has a message for current ECE438 students:

Having worked as an intern at Army Research Lab in image processing, I'll be joining them as an electronics engineer/researcher in fall 2009. From my experience, it's the core signal processing concepts that are the most important, such as the ones taught in ECE438. Understanding these concepts will allow you to examine a problem from multiple perspectives and to solve a problem using different approaches. That is why TAing ECE438 for two years was an invaluable experience for me - the experience allowed me to examine the core concepts in minute detail in order to address many of the great questions that students have asked. And this greater understanding has helped me tremendously in how I analyze and solve problems.
