Howdy all.  I'm the guy who came to tell you all about this internet tool.  I just did some major changes to the looks of this site, so if something looks new and different, don't be afraid.  Some of the buttons that used to be found on the top of the page are now at the bottom.  'Edit' is one of these such buttons.  If something really doesn't work, just leave me a comment here and I'll check in throughout the next couple of weeks.

By the way, did you know that you can align multi-line equations.  Mediawiki is full of formatting markups, and the more you get to know them, the more professional (and readable) you can make your pages look.  View the source for the below equation to find out how to make long equations look nicer.  You might also check out Mediawiki's super-easy [http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_User%27s_Guide:_Using_tables tables].

Did 'ya Know?

Having trouble with small curves? LaTeX can help! Nobody wants to see this...

$ \int_a^b ( \frac{1}{a^2 - x^2} ) dx ~or~ | \frac{1}{1+\frac{1}{1+\frac{1}{x}}} | $

Use \left and \right around parentheses, brackes, pipes, etc...

$ \int_a^b \left ( \frac{1}{a^2-x^2} \right ) dx ~or~ \left | \frac{1}{1+\frac{1}{1+\frac{1}{x}}} \right | $

By the way, did you know that you can align multi-line equations. Mediawiki is full of formatting markups, and the more you get to know them, the more professional (and readable) you can make your pages look. View the source for the below equation to find out how to make long equations look nicer. You might also check out Mediawiki's super-easy tables.

$ \begin{align} \bar f(x) &= \oint_S g(x) dx \\ &= \int_a^b \vec g(x) dx \\ &= \frac{\mu_0}{2 \pi a \cdot b} \end{align} $
