Ruth began her studies at Purdue 25 years after earning an MS in Mathematics from the University of Iowa. Being an older student was difficult! Five years later, she earned a PhD, thereby fulfilling a lifelong dream. In 2008, she presented a published paper at a university in Graz, Austria, by invitation. In 2010, she became an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Arkansas Tech University and the grandmother of twins, making it one of her best years ever. Congratulations Ruth!
